Terms of Service
The terms that govern your use of BitcoinDatabase, the fully indexed Bitcoin blockchain queryable by REST API, SQL and dashboards. Last updated: June 2026.
Acceptance of these terms
By using bitcoindatabase.com or signing up for BitcoinDatabase, you agree to these terms of service. If you are acting on behalf of an organization, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What BitcoinDatabase is
BitcoinDatabase indexes the public Bitcoin blockchain and lets you query it three ways: a REST API, direct SQL, and dashboards. We serve on-chain balances, UTXOs, transactions, entity labels, fund-flow tracing, on-chain metrics, mempool data and webhooks, with bulk CSV export and SDKs. It is offered on paid plans and provides informational on-chain data and analytics only.
Informational data only, not advice
The data and analytics BitcoinDatabase returns are informational. They are not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation. You must not use the data as the sole basis for a legal, financial, regulatory or investment decision. Our AML and forensics features are compliance tooling that surface risk signals and labels to support your own review; they are inputs for your regulated process, not conclusions, accusations or guarantees about the identity of any person.
Your responsibilities
You decide which addresses, transactions and questions to query, and you are responsible for that choice and for how you use the results. You agree to use the service in line with all laws that apply to you, including data protection, privacy, financial-services and computer-misuse laws. Where on-chain data relates to an identifiable person, you confirm you have a lawful basis to process it. You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the service responsibly and not to:
- Treat the data as financial, investment or legal advice, or as the sole basis for any such decision.
- Use AML risk signals or labels as proof or as an accusation against any person, rather than as an input to your own regulated review.
- Attempt to deanonymize or attach a real-world identity to any person in a way that the public ledger does not support.
- Use the data to infringe someone else's rights, privacy or intellectual property.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer or overload the service, or circumvent its limits.
- Resell or redistribute the service except under a written agreement with us.
You are responsible for the queries you run and for how you use the data BitcoinDatabase returns to you.
Your content and data
As between you and us, you keep all rights to the queries you submit and to the results we return to you. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process your queries and provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. We do not sell your data and we do not use your queries to train public or third-party models or for anyone else's marketing. The underlying on-chain data is public ledger data.
Accounts and access
You must provide accurate information when you sign up and keep any API keys and credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and keys. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or keys have been used without your permission.
Plans, billing and refunds
BitcoinDatabase is offered on paid plans. All prices and charges are in US dollars. Plans are usage-based, sized by a monthly query or call allowance with usage-based overage billed beyond that allowance. Subscriptions renew automatically, monthly or yearly depending on the term you choose, until cancelled. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change our plans and prices, and we will give notice of changes that affect an active subscription.
Service availability
We work to keep BitcoinDatabase available and performing well, and offer a 99.9% SLA on eligible plans, but outside those terms we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, change or temporarily suspend features to maintain and improve the service. On-chain figures can change as the chain reorganizes or new blocks confirm.
Intellectual property
BitcoinDatabase, including its software, interface, indexing, labels and brand, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service in accordance with these terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the service except as expressly permitted. The names of other companies, platforms and products referenced on this site are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective owners.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the data is error-free or fit for any particular purpose, and on-chain data can change as blocks confirm or reorganize. The figures shown on this site are typical outcomes, not guarantees.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BitcoinDatabase and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or from decisions you make based on the data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time and cancel your plan. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to the platform, including any use that treats AML signals as accusations or attempts to deanonymize individuals.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
