Why teams pick BitcoinDatabase
The fully indexed Bitcoin blockchain, queryable by REST, SQL and dashboards
What SonarX sells for Bitcoin
We read the SonarX Bitcoin chain page on 5 October 2026. It lists two products as available today: an Instant Data Share that appears as a database inside your own Snowflake account, with the same dataset shipped as file dumps to S3 or other object storage, and a Kafka stream of normalized Bitcoin records. Two more are marked enabled on request: point-in-time balance tables and a Realtime API over REST. Coverage runs from the genesis block of 3 January 2009 and is kept current to the chain tip. SonarX indexes blocks, transactions, inputs, outputs, scripts, the derived UTXO set and address positions, in the same model it uses for its other chains. Since May 2026 it also holds the former Flipside customer contracts.
SonarX pricing, as far as anyone can see
There is no published SonarX price. On 5 October 2026 both www.sonarx.com/pricing and sonarx.com/pricing returned HTTP 404, and every call to action on the Bitcoin page says Start trial or Contact us. The Bitcoin page explains why: the share is scoped against your delivery target, how far back you need data and how fresh it has to be. That is normal for an enterprise warehouse feed, and it means your first cost is a procurement cycle. BitcoinDatabase publishes every plan: Developer $49 a month with one year of history, Growth $199 with SQL and full history, Scale $799 with exports, labels and webhooks, Enterprise $1,498 with the AML module and SSO. Yearly billing halves each figure.
Where SonarX is the better buy
Pick SonarX if Bitcoin is one chain among many, your analysts already live in Snowflake, and your vendor review needs a SOC 2 Type II report. A native share with no pipeline, cross-chain joins in one statement and a Kafka topic for trading or fraud systems are real strengths we do not match. Pick BitcoinDatabase if Bitcoin is the job and the output is an answer an application or an auditor reads: the balance of a P2WSH vault right now, every UTXO an address holds with its age, an hourly close at a period-end hour, or a webhook when a watched address moves. You can test that today on Developer and move to Growth when you need SQL across many addresses.
