Most published Bitcoin datasets are a price series with a date column, or a partial dump someone scraped in 2021 and never updated. Neither is much use if your research depends on transactions, inputs, outputs and address balances. This Bitcoin dataset is the whole chain, every block from the 2009 genesis block to the current tip, parsed into a normalized schema you can query in SQL, page through over REST, or export to CSV for a notebook.
That means you skip the part of a research project nobody enjoys: syncing a 600 GB node, writing an indexer, reconciling reorgs, then discovering your UTXO set does not balance. Filter to the block range, address set or script type you care about, run the query, and take the rows. It stays current as new blocks confirm.
