Query the chain · RPC API
Bitcoin RPC API for JSON-RPC calls without running a node
A Bitcoin RPC API gives you the calls you would normally make against Bitcoin Core, getblock, getrawtransaction, getblockchaininfo, getblockhash and the rest, without hosting the node behind them. BitcoinDatabase indexes every block since the 2009 genesis block and answers these lookups over a plain REST endpoint that returns typed JSON, so you fetch a block by height or hash, pull a raw or decoded transaction, read chain tip and difficulty, or resolve an address, all from one HTTPS call.
Running your own JSON-RPC node means 600+ GB of disk, a multi-day initial sync, and keeping it reconciled and reachable around the clock. Here that is already done and reconciled block by block. The same indexed data is also queryable in SQL and dashboards, so your backend, your analysts and your ops team read one source. This is informational on-chain data only, not financial or investment advice.

Why it works
What you get with rpc api
The RPC calls you know
Fetch blocks, raw and decoded transactions, block hashes, chain info and address data, the same lookups Bitcoin Core exposes over JSON-RPC, delivered as clean typed JSON over REST.
No node to host or sync
Skip the 600+ GB of disk, the multi-day initial block download and the uptime burden. We keep the chain synced and reconciled, so you call an endpoint instead of babysitting Bitcoin Core.
Stable, documented endpoints
Hit versioned HTTPS routes with an API key and predictable rate limits, not a raw RPC port you have to firewall, authenticate and scale yourself.
What it handles
The indexed Bitcoin chain, queryable your way
Look up an address, a transaction, a UTXO, the rich list or an on-chain metric, by REST API, SQL or dashboard. The same authoritative data, reconciled block-by-block against the canonical chain, without running a node.
- Fetch a block by height or hash with full transaction detail
- Pull a raw or decoded transaction by txid
- Read chain tip, height, difficulty and network state
- Resolve an address balance and history to the satoshi
- Query the same data via REST, SQL or dashboards

Why BitcoinDatabase
One platform, queryable three ways
Not a raw node to sync, not an indexer to build, and not five vendors to stitch together. The fully-indexed Bitcoin blockchain, available as a REST API, as SQL, and as dashboards, on one authoritative dataset.
REST API
Typed JSON for addresses, transactions, balances, UTXOs and metrics. Drop it into apps, wallets, explorers and agents with curl, Python or our SDKs.
SQL access
Run SQL directly against the indexed Bitcoin dataset for ad-hoc analysis, cohorts and exports, the same data the API and dashboards read from.
Compliance-first
Informational on-chain data and analytics only. Entity labels and flow tracing are framed as tooling to support a regulated team's own review, not accusations.
